Heat Exchangers

Over the years Ferro Techniek has enamelled more than 6 million square metres of heat exchanger plates for coal fired power stations. That is the equivalent of more than 750 football pitches! We have set the quality standards for the enamelling of heat exchanger plates over the past thirty years and we will continue to do so in the future. 

We act as a turn key supplier by packing and welding the enamelled plates into customer specific baskets. If desired Ferro Techniek will support with engineering on site. By providing this service we bring business partners to a higher standard.


Technology

After many years of research and development Ferro Techniek is the frontrunner in achieving the highest quality with respect to edge coverage of the heat exchanger plates. For our customers this means a dramatic slowing down of the process of degeneration of the plates due to edge corrosion, whilst condensing out “acid rain”.

Other impressive results have been achieved by improving the construction of the basket in which the heat exchanger plates are packed.

The combination of exquisite technical designs and improved enamelling processes have resulted in a much longer life time of the heat exchanger systems. Most important benefits of our enamelled heat exchangers are:

The improved quality of heat exchanger enamels has slowed down the corrosion process even in the lower temperature ranges. This enables power stations to improve the efficiency by preventing surface degeneration even below dew point temperatures. Moreover the price level of enamelled heat exchangers is very competitive compared to stainless steel, Corten steel, Hastelloy, PTFE, PFE, ceramics etc.
